These Clubs are open to Brethren who have retired from full-time employment, their wives, and the widows of former Brethren.

The meetings begin with an informal get-together in the Bar at about 11.15am where old friends can have refreshment and a chat. Then follows a two course Buffet Lunch at about 12.15pm in the main Dining Hall, with Tea and Coffee to follow.

After Lunch the Secretary will have arranged some light entertainment such as a choir, or instrumentalists of some kind. Sometimes there is an arranged talk by a local expert on some topical subject. The meeting tends to be completed around 3pm or so.

During these meetings we have a raffle (free) and a sale of second hand books or other small items such as CDs and toys.

The Buffet Lunch inc. Raffle is £9 per person payable in advance or on the day.
Occasionally a coach trip is arranged to some popular venue.
These are in addition to the regular meetings.
Members can reserve places on a mini-bus service for collection and return.
The current fee is £3 per person.
The transport should be reserved when the monthly meeting notice is sent out.

Please come and join us. Our branch is thriving and is a great way for all of us elderly Masons, our wives and all the ladies of our former Brethren to maintain continuity and friendship all through the year. We also have a visit each year to the Merthyr Branch and they come over to Bridgend to spend a few hours with us too. It’s all good fun.
