As seems to be my unfortunate custom, I must once again bring you news of a family tragedy affecting one of our much loved Brethren.

Mr Andrew James, the SON of W.Bro. D. A. (Jimmy) James, PPrJGW, has died at the age of 56. In the past week Andrew suffered a severe stroke which was followed by an ongoing bleed on the brain from which he did not recover.

Jimmy (who few of you will know has the real name of David Alwyn!) is best known to many of us from his membership of Dewi Sant Lodge, No 9067, although we at Morganwg Lodge No 5084enjoyed the pleasure of him being a member for nearly 10 years up to 2017 during which time he was our Organist and Charity Steward.

I am sure we all extend our deepest sympathy to Jimmy, Liz and the family at this most tragic time. 

Covid-19 played no apparent part in Andrew's demise, but because of it, no doubt, the funeral will be a private one.
