Our
neighbour and Brother Raymond Thomas Jeynes of Geoffrey Ashe Court,
Cowbridge passed to the Grand Lodge Above on Saturday 3rd August 2019 at Princess of Wales Hospital,
Bridgend.

| Bro Raymond was not presently an active member due to age and infirmity but
had a fulfilling Masonic career: |

Glanogwr Lodge in
Bridgend, Ray was their first Initiate.
Lodge of Concord in Cardiff
Old Barrians Lodge in Barry
Bont Faen Lodge in Cowbridge
He was a Founder and Honorary Member of a Mark Lodge
Ray was also a member
18th Degree in Rose Croix
Holy Royal Arch |
His working life
was spent as an ambulance driver
attached to a
number of stations:
Penarth, Barry, Bridgend and Cowbridge (Station Officer) |
Finally Ray
and Margaret have been residents at Geoffrey Ashe Court in Cowbridge for
almost eight years. Raymond was a popular resident and loved the
social aspect of life at GAC. He was a keen and skillful gardener
and for many of his years here he tended parts of the grounds and the
greenhouse. Those of us who are fortunate to have known Ray feel
the loss of his happy nature and his friendship. |

He leaves his wife, Margaret, their children and grandchildren. |
The funeral of
our Brother Raymond was held at :
Coychurch Crematorium
Thursday 15th August 2019 at 2.45pm
Donations were invited for British Heart Foundation
(Riverside Funeral Services, Porthcawl. 01656 788883)
Margaret and her family are most heartened by the
wonderful attendance at the crematorium and
for the sympathy of so many people who wrote and telephoned. |
