OBITUARY
W Bro Romeo Andrea Antonio Tambini
PPrAGDC (South Wales)
29th July 2023

The funeral of W. Bro. Romeo Tambini was held on Thursday, 17th August 2023, in the Coity Chapel at Coychurch Crematorium, Bridgend.

W. Bro. Tambini had passed away peacefully on 29th July, 2023 at the Glanffrwd Care Home, Pencoed. He was 91 years old. The funeral was attended by a number of Brethren and Companions. He was a member of both the Penybont Lodge No. 6743 and the Atholl Chapter No. 1752.

In the Royal Craft, W. Bro. Tambini held the Provincial rank of Past Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies, and in the Royal Arch he held the Provincial rank of Past Provincial Grand Sword Bearer.

The Officiating Minister, the Reverend Phil Denyer, reminded those present that although Romeo had tremendous fondness for his Italian ancestry, he held a deep pride for the nation of Wales.

Romeo was brought up in the village of Gilfach Goch and spent much of his working life at London Transformers based in South Wales. He had been married to his wife Ann for well over sixty years, and Revd. Denyer spoke about the love and affection that they had for one another.

W. Bro. Romeo was a highly regarded Freemason. He was always a gentle, kind, loyal and supportive member of both Craft and Royal Arch, and was respected by all who had met him in a Lodge or a Chapter. He will be remembered with great fondness for his words of encouragement, humour and wonderful company.

The Brethren and Companions of both the Penybont Lodge No. 6743 and the Atholl Chapter No. 1752 share their sad thoughts and prayers with Ann, Romeo's wife, and his nieces and nephews.

W Bro Andrew Wood
Penybont Lodge No 6743
